It’s been a weird week. School was a little slower than normal, which was probably sovereignty. The Lord knew I would need more time because of the funeral of a church member this week. The family is certainly still in mourning, and my heart goes out to them as they work to establish a new normal in the next few weeks.

I know the basketball tournament is winding down, and games are exciting, but I’m more excited about opening day for the Reds this Thursday! We’re poised for competing again in the NL Central with the Cubs, Cards, and Brewers. I think we’ve got the best team in the Central, but I am biased.

Here are the links and videos I found most helpful/interesting/funny this week. Have a great weekend folks!

  1. John Piper’s Jesus: The Only Way to God is now FREE at Christian Audio. You have to give them your email address, but I just gave them my junk address, so you could do the same and get this short audio book on a very pertinent topic nowadays for $0.
  2. Johnathan Gibson has an article about whether or not the church is still serious about hell.
  3. Kevin DeYoung has a good thought here about when to get worked up and when not to get worked up about a controversy.

To keep my word from last week about posting something that wasn’t so serious, here are a couple videos, and a great awkward family photo!
