Have you ever felt like you just hit a spiritual wall? In fact, it wasn’t just one wall, but it was as if there were barriers all around you, boxing you into an isolated, paralyzing place in life? These are pretty scary moments – it’s as if God is nowhere to be found and all you see are your worries, pain, frustrations, and problems.
I’m learning to change my perspective when I feel like that. Instead of looking at setbacks as brick walls that box us in and bind us, choose to view them as doors that the Lord has allowed to be placed around you. God is not going to put anything on you that He can’t handle if given to Him. This means, no matter what you see or feel, there is ALWAYS a solution provided by Christ. There’s always a door.
This truth is pretty liberating. Nothing can bind what God wants to do so if God called you to do it, and you see no way of making it happen, realize that these aren’t walls you’re staring down, they’re doors that God is going to open in His way and in His timing. Your perspective is what matters most in these situations – if you realize that ANYTHING is possible with God, it makes you relentlessly pursue His door of opportunity. If you see it as a wall, you naturally give in to a depressed attitude where your potential in that situation dies and your opportunity is never seized.
The walls around you don’t have to paralyze you; in fact, what everyone else views as walls are, in actuality, what God wants you to see as doors to be walked through. It’s all in your perspective. How BIG will you allow your view of God’s faithfulness to be in comparison to this world’s setbacks?

I love how you put this! Some may see it as just having a positive attitude, but it’s faith! Faith in God and knowing He’s not going to leave us stranded. I also like to think that when He’s challenging us with these doors all around us, He’s giving us the opportunity to look up to Him. To remind us that we have a direct line of communication. Just my two cents.
