Missing in action?  Not exactly.  God gave us an amazing opportunity we couldn’t pass up.

The past month we’ve poured all our time and energy into E-TEAM.  This is a short-term missions program like no other, gathering teenagers from all across the nation and discipling them through a week of intensive preparation and two weeks of field experience.

We’ve been involved in E-TEAM for the past eight years, doing everything from training and teaching, to hosting and leading.  This year, though, tops all others.

The week before training started, we got a call that leaders were needed for the team to Chicago.  We agreed to help if no one else could do it, and 30 couples later, it was back to us.  We knew God had this task for us, and we trusted Him completely to provide the energy, focus, and patience we’d need for such a task.

I cannot begin to put into words all that happened and the ways we saw God move.  It will take some time for me to process it all, but I hope to be able to share bits of it here with you as the Spirit gives me words to express all that He is teaching me.

I do know this, though: when we follow the Spirit’s leading in obedience, even when the task seems impossible, He shows up in a powerful way and does what only He can do, so that only God gets the glory.  And that’s the way it should be.  Every moment of every day.

And all God’s people said, “Wow.”
