Charles Cook is the lead pastor at the Cookeville FWB Church in Cookeville, Tennessee. A native of Cookeville, Charles pastors the local church he worshiped with as a teen. Before pastoring, Charles completed graduate studies at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and Duke Divinity School; earning the M.T.S. degree at Duke with a thesis focused on the rise of evangelical political engagement during the 20th century. Along with graduate studies, Charles served as an associate pastor with Peace Church in Florence, SC, with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, and as an assistant to historian Grant Wacker (chair of Duke University’s PhD program in Religion). In addition to his primary role as a local church elder, Charles serves on the board of the FWB publishing house, Randall House. Charles’ greatest blessings are his wife, Laura and son, Ethan. Laura serves the Cookeville community by supervising a team of clinical counselors that works with troubled youth. Ethan serves CFWBC with awe-inspiring drum skills displayed freely after each worship service.
